This policy explains what CircuitForge collects, why, and what your choices are. We have tried to keep it plain and specific rather than vague.
CircuitForge is an Android app published by Lunar Planet. It lets you design a microcontroller circuit, generate firmware for it, compile that firmware on our server, and flash it to a board connected to your phone.
When you sign in and use the app, we store the following on our server:
What we do not collect. We do not store the descriptions you type when generating firmware, or the firmware code that is produced. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, or any data from the microcontroller boards you connect. We do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves. Advertising is handled by Google AdMob, and only when you choose to watch a rewarded video — see “Advertising” below.
When you generate firmware, the description of your circuit and the modules you selected are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which writes the firmware code. That request is processed to produce your result. We do not keep a copy of the description or the generated code on our server; only the fact that a generation happened, and its processing cost, is recorded against your usage allowance.
Compilation happens on our own server. The compiled firmware file is returned to your phone. Flashing happens entirely on your device over USB — the firmware is written to your board directly by the app, and its contents are not sent to us.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the app:
CircuitForge shows rewarded video ads only when you choose to watch one — for example, to refill your daily allowance. There are no banner ads, and no ads are shown unless you tap to watch one.
These videos are served by Google AdMob. When you watch one, AdMob may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, device and app information, and how you interacted with the ad. This is used by Google to serve and measure ads. We do not receive this information; all we record is that a video was watched, so we can credit your allowance.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings (usually under Settings → Google → Ads). Google explains how it uses data from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your account information is kept while your account exists. Usage records are kept so that allowances and billing can be calculated correctly. If you delete your account, this data is removed as described below.
You can request deletion at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. When you do, your request is recorded and your account is removed after review, and in any case no later than 30 days after the request. Deletion removes your account record, your usage history, and your support messages from our database, and deletes your authentication account. This cannot be undone.

Connections between the app and our server use HTTPS. Access to the database is restricted to our server. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
CircuitForge is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
You can ask us to show you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Use the in-app deletion option, or contact us using the details below.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced inside the app.
